Operation Al-Aqsa Flood constituted not merely a military conflict, but a full-scale confrontation within the media sphere. In this context, the Al Jazeera network constructed a coherent “counter-narrative” against the dominant Western discourse (which predominantly emphasizes Israel’s right to self-defense and frames Hamas as a terrorist organization) by providing a platform for Palestinian and regional resistance voices. This study aims to analyze Al Jazeera’s pivotal role in the production, reinforcement, and dissemination of the “Axis of Resistance” discourse following October 7, 2023. Furthermore, it seeks to identify the mechanisms through which the diverse actors of this axis are articulated into a unified discursive network. Drawing upon Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Framing Theory, this article investigates the core components of this discourse, alongside the linguistic and visual techniques employed. The findings indicate that by foregrounding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the historical context of the occupation, and by representing Axis of Resistance actors (including Iran, Lebanese Hezbollah, Yemen’s Ansarullah, and Palestinian factions) through an alternative lens, Al Jazeera has significantly contributed to consolidating the resistance discourse’s legitimacy while delegitimizing the rival narrative. By addressing the literature gap—which traditionally focused on the bilateral relationship between Al Jazeera and Palestine—this research offers a deeper understanding of the nexus between media strategies and modern asymmetric conflicts. Ultimately, the results are crucial for comprehending soft power dynamics and the mobilization of public opinion across the Islamic world following this historical turning point.
